As stated in the Health and Safety at Work act 1974, Section  2(2)(c) Information, Instruction, Training and Supervision, every employer has a legal duty to provide suitable training to ensure the safety of their staff. Specifically, as explained in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (Regulation 13) Capabilities and Training, “the employer must provide adequate health and safety training”.
